Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes returns to the Ebeid Rec Center for a three-match homestand this week looking to snap a two-match losing skid.  The Gray Wolves entertain undefeated Indiana Tech on Wednesday night before hosting Rochester (Mich.) on Friday evening.  The homestand comes to a close on Saturday afternoon with a visit from Madonna.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his 13th season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 221-169 (.567) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his 15th season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 241-204 (.542) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history and was named WHAC Coach of the Year in 2015.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Indiana Tech are 10-10 in a series dating back to Oct. 1, 2010.  The two schools split last year's contests with each school defending its own home court.  Lourdes is 3-2 against Indiana Tech inside the Ebeid Rec Center.  The Gray Wolves are 11-3 all-time against Rochester (Mich.) in a series that began Aug. 21, 2010.  The Gray Wolves were a four-set winner in Rochester Hills, Mich. last year before the Warriors notched a five-set victory in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Lourdes is 3-2 against Rochester all-time in the Ebeid Rec Center.  Madonna holds a 13-10 series edge dating back to Oct. 8, 2010.  The Crusaders have won three straight in the series after a pair of sweeps in 2021.  Madonna is 3-2 all-time in the Ebeid Rec Center.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes won its fourth straight on Wednesday with a 20-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-22 triumph at Northwestern Ohio.  Kylee McBride had 11 kills while Alli Plasencio tallied 16 digs.  Friday the Gray Wolves fell at #23 Cornerstone 25-11, 25-18, 25-13.  McKenna Hall had seven kills while Plasencio tallied 11 digs.  Saturday Lourdes dropped a 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 19-25, 15-8 decision at Aquinas despite 15 kills by Hall and 16 digs by Plasencio.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors remained perfect to begin the 2022 season with back-to-back five-set wins at Michigan-Dearborn and Madonna last weekend.  Noelle VanOort leads Indiana Tech with 171 kills and 54 service aces while Havilyn Cummings is hitting at a .389 clip.  Andrea Schriver has a team-best 286 digs.  Defensively, Jacey Blust has recorded 244 digs this year while Cummings has been involved in 53 blocks, including seven of the solo variety.

Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors enter the week having dropped eight straight matches after a five-set defeat against Lawrence Tech on Friday.  Rochester hosts Siena Heights on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Hailee Mancogna leads the Warriors with 135 kills and is hitting .142 while Charlotte Warner has 246 assists to go along with a team-high 12 service aces.  On defense, Carly Rodman has picked up 209 digs while Olivia Pannecouk has tallied 43 blocks, including 10 solos.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders enter the week having lost three straight contests after falling in five sets to Indiana Tech on Saturday.  Madonna travels to Lawrence Tech and hosts Michigan-Dearborn before heading to Lourdes.  Molly Miller leads the Crusaders with 111 kills while Hannah Keenan has a team-best .289 hitting percentage.  Kacie Stoneburner has handed out 335 assists while Jamie Ciacico has recorded 13 service aces.  Defensively, Ciacico has 103 digs while Jaeda Porter has tallied 32 blocks.

Hall Leading the Offense: McKenna Hall has tallied a team-high 92 kills thus far this season for the Gray Wolves.  The senior put down a season-high 15 kills on Saturday at Aquinas and now has three double figure kill matches in 2022.

Keeping the Streak Alive: Alli Plasencio has tallied double figure dig totals in all 11 matches thus far this season, averaging 4.72 digs per set, third most in the WHAC this year.  The fifth-year senior has tallied 10 or more digs in 32 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Serving Up Aces: Lourdes has served up 71 aces this season (1.97/set) while committing just 61 service errors.  Katey Stakolich has recorded a team-high 13 aces while Abby Gentile has added 11 more.

Plasencio All Over the Record Books: Alli Plasencio has moved into second place all-time in program history with 1,747 career digs.  She trails school record-holder Michi Jimenez's (2012-2015) 2,143 digs by 693.  Plasencio also ranks second all-time with 107 service aces, trailing just Lexie Curtis' (2013-2016) 164 on the chart.  Plasencio ranks third in school history having appeared in 417 sets all-time, 43 behind Stef Comte's (2013-2016) second place total.  Plasencio is fourth with 115 matches played, three appearances shy of Curtis for third all-time in a Lourdes uniform.

Also in the Record Books: Kylee McBride has moved into eighth all-time at Lourdes with 582 career kills, matching Ave Stout's (2015-2016) total.  She needs 16 more to move into seventh place and match Katie McKenty's (2012-2014) total.  Cammy Smith has climbed into fifth place on the blocks list with 142, trailing Michaela Eisenhauer (2019-2021) by one for fourth place.  Katey Stakolich is seventh in school history with 867 career assists, needing 25 more to match Jami Markus (2017-2018) for sixth place.

This and That: Lourdes has had 20 different players take to the court this season ... the Gray Wolves have now dropped three straight five-set matches dating back to 2021 ... Quinn Olding leads the team with 24 blocks in her rookie season.
