Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her eighth season on the Lourdes bench, Jackie Phillips has a 45-65-14 (.419) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 1-0-1 series edge against Holy Cross (Ind.) in a series that began Feb. 8, 2021.  The two schools drew last season in Notre Dame, Ind. 1-1.  This will be the Saints first appearance at Wildcat Stadium as the two sides played indoors in Rossford in the initial meeting.  The Gray Wolves are 4-0 all-time against Point Park dating back to Aug. 31, 2018.  Last year Lourdes was a 2-1 victor in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Lourdes won the only previous meeting at Wildcat Stadium, 1-0, in 2019.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes battled the heat and Roosevelt to a scoreless draw on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 3) in Arlington Heights, Ill.  The Lakers held a 9-8 shot advantage but Emmy Rodger made a pair of saves to preserve the clean sheet for the Gray Wolves.

Scouting Holy Cross (Ind.): After drawing in their first three matches of the season, the Saints scored a 2-0 victory at home against Goshen on Aug. 30.Nichole Cook leads the team with three goals and six points while Lauren Cernak has a team-high two assists to go along with four points.  In goal, Taylor Primack has played every minute, sporting a 1.25 goals against average and an .808 save percentage.

A Scoreless Battle: The 0-0 draw against Roosevelt was the fifth scoreless draw in program history.  Lourdes last played a contest in which neither team scored on Oct. 23, 2021, playing 110 minutes through two overtime periods against Lawrence Tech at home.

Another Clean Sheet: Emmy Rodger recorded her fifth shutout of her career against Roosevelt, moving her into a tie for third on the school's all-time charts with Kiley Transit (2016-2018).  Her next clean sheet will match Erika Brinkman (2015) for second on Lourdes career list.

Rodger Fourth in Saves: Emmy Rodger's 80 career saves already rank her fourth on the school's career list.  She is just 16 stops behind Erika Brinkman (2015) for third on the career charts.

Moving Up the Scoring List: Brynn McGarvey scored her seventh career goal in the opener against Rio Grande, moving her into a tie with Katie Varney (2019-2021) for seventh on the school's all-time goals list.  McGarvey also has 15 points now, moving into eighth place on the all-time charts, two points behind Jada Foster (2015-2016) for seventh.  The match-winner was the third of her career, moving into a tie with Clare Ciarlino (2016-2017) for sixth all-time.

Lending a Helping Foot:  Chloe Shaffer and Abigail Mann both had assists in the opener for the Gray Wolves.  Mann extended her school record with the 12th of her career while Shaffer handed out her fifth career helper, tied with Tara Blundell (2015, 2017) for fifth on the all-time charts at Lourdes.

Mann Holds Career Records: Senior Abigail Mann already holds all of the school's career offensive records already.  The senior has scored 16 career goals, two more than any other player in program history, and notched her 12th career assist in the season opener, three more than second place.  Mann's 44 career points are 10 in front of second place as well.  She also holds the school mark with 160 shot attempts, the only Gray Wolf with more than 100 on the list.  Mann's five match-winning goals are tied with Karlie O'Keefe (2016-2019) and current teammate Chloe Shaffer for most in school history.

That's a Lot of Action: Jules Snowden has now appeared in 58 matches during her career, tied with Alyssa Swanson (2015-2018) for fourth most in program history.  She is three appearances behind Helena Rammal (2015-2018) for third on the school's all-time list.  Snowden also ranks third in career starts with 54, seven behind Maria Schmidt (2017-2020) for second.  Erin Caldwell is fifth with 57 career appearances while her 51 starts rank fourth all-time.

Gray Wolves Tabbed Sixth in WHAC Preseason Poll: Lourdes was selected to finish in sixth place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches.  The Gray Wolves were picked just behind fifth place Lawrence Tech.  Aquinas was chosen to win the league crown.
