Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: The 2023 regular season comes to a close for Lourdes women's soccer this week with the Gray Wolves still in contention for a WHAC tournament berth. The Gray Wolves head to Cleary on Wednesday night before wrapping up the campaign at home with Senior Night on Saturday at Wildcat Stadium.
Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her ninth season on the Lourdes bench,
Jackie Phillips has a 57-79-19 (.429) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach. She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 6-1 all-time advantage against Cleary in a series that began Sept. 23, 2015. The Gray Wolves have won the last five meetings between the two schools after downing the Cougars 4-0 at Wildcat Stadium last season. Lourdes holds a 2-1 series edge in matches played in Howell, Mich. The Gray Wolves are 4-1-1 in the all-time series against Michigan-Dearborn dating back to Oct. 24, 2017. Lourdes defeated the Wolverines 2-0 in Dearborn, Mich. last season and are 3-0-1 against Michigan-Dearborn over the last four contests. Lourdes holds the all-time series 2-0-1 in matches played at Wildcat Stadium.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes held an 18-1 shot advantage against Concordia (Mich.) last Wednesday in Ann Arbor, Mich. but the Gray Wolves and Cardinals battled to a scoreless draw.
Emmy Rodger was not forced to make a save on the way to earning the shutout. On Saturday, Siena Heights outshot the Gray Wolves 16-1 and scored a pair of second half goals to defeat Lourdes 2-0 in Adrian, Mich. Rodger had four saves between the posts for the Gray Wolves.
Scouting Cleary: The Cougars have dropped nine consecutive matches entering the week after falling 6-0 at Aquinas on Saturday. Payton Zeh leads Cleary with three goals and eight total points on the season. She also shares the team lead in assists with Ambre Canado as each player has handed out two helpers. In goal, Tara McGrath has started every match, sporting a 2.41 goals against average and a .755 save percentage with one shutout.
Scouting Michigan-Dearborn: The Wolverines enter the week unbeaten (2-0-1) in their last three matches after a 1-1 draw with Indiana Tech last Saturday. Michigan-Dearborn is at Siena Heights on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes. Emmi Pinkowski has led the offense this season with 10 goals and 24 total points. Pinkowski also shares the team's assist lead with Rena Arabi and Juju Kleit, as all three players have dished out three helpers. In goal, Amber Festian sports a 1.29 goals against average and a .743 save percentage with three shutouts while Amelia Strochine has a 2.00 GAA and a .719 save mark with two clean sheets.

Battling for a WHAC Tournament Spot: Heading into the final week of the regular season, Lourdes remains alive for a berth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament which begins Nov. 1. The Gray Wolves are currently four points out of the eighth and final qualifying spot, requiring a pair of victories and along with some help from the three teams immediately ahead of them in the standings, Cornerstone, Indiana Tech, and Concordia (Mich.).
Trio Lead Lourdes Offense: Taylir Lynam has scored a team-leading four goals this season and added an assist to give her nine points on the season.
Keira Boskovich leads the team in points with 10, having scored three times while handing out a team-leading four assists.
Kayden Firsdon has added three assists during her rookie season.
Moving Up the Scoring List: Kayla Dillinger continues to move up the scoring list. Dillinger has seven career goals moving her into a tie for eighth place on Lourdes' all-time list with Katie Varney (2019-2021) and
Erin Caldwell (2018-2022). Dillinger's 17 career points also move her into a tie with Jada Foster (2015-2016) for eighth place on that list. Dillinger has three career match-winning goals as well, tying her with Clare Ciarlino (2016-2017) for seventh in program history.
Boskovich Seventh in Career Assists: Keira Boskovich is tied for seventh in program history with four career assists, matching
Erika Turk (2019-2022) and Katie Varney (2019-2021) on the all-time charts.

Kayla Dillinger all have three helpers at Lourdes, tied for 10th on the all-time chart.
Rodger on Career Netminding Lists: Emmy Rodger is at or near the top of every career Lourdes goalkeeping category. Her 18 shutouts are 10 more than any other Gray Wolf. Her .800 career save percentage and 1.02 goals against average are also all-time bests at Lourdes as are her 4,054 career minutes in net. Rodger ranks third with 184 career saves.
Pencil Her in the Lineup: Gianna Salatino has started every match for the Gray Wolves this season, giving her 60 career starts wearing the terra cotta and black. She has moved into fifth place alone on the career list and Salatino now needs just one more starting assignment to move into a tie for third on the all-time list. Salatino has appeared in 68 career matches, sixth most in program history. She is one appearance shy of moving into a four-way tie for second place all-time.
This and That: Ten different Gray Wolves have scored this season and a total of 12 players have at least one point ... Lourdes has been outshot 175-145 on the season but just 85-74 on goal ... five of the Gray Wolves' last six draws dating back to the beginning of 2022 have been of the scoreless variety.
