Theo Casadei (Annecy Le Vieux, France/CNED) has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Week in men's tennis.
Casadei picked up victories in both singles and doubles on Sunday as the Gray Wolves defeated Saint Francis (Ind.) 6-1 for the team's 10
th triumph of the season.
In singles play, the freshman was a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Eric Stavnheim at the second spot in the lineup, improving to 10-4 individually on the season. He also teamed with
Ondrej Skokan (Pardubice, Czech Republic/Gymnaszium Dasicka 1083) for a 6-2 triumph over Will Daigle and Quentin Spears,
Lourdes (10-2) returns to the courts on Friday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Aquinas for a 6:30 p.m. match.
