Final Results

Lourdes returned to the .500 mark overall this season with its fifth consecutive victory, defeating Concordia (Mich.) 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at Liberty Athletic Club in Ann Arbor, Mich. for the Gray Wolves' first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference win of the year.
 
"It's encouraging to have so much momentum at this point in the season," head coach Epifani Jones said afterwards.
 
Lourdes opened by winning both of the contested doubles contests after picking up a third doubles victory by default.  Mallory Schardt (Temperance, Mich./Rogers H.S.) and Cleo Moore (Atlanta, Ga./Riverwood International H.S.) teamed for a 6-1 triumph at the top spot while Laura Ortiz (Bogota, Columbia/Gimnasio Los Pinos) and Olivia Schoppa (Gutersloh, Germany/Stadtisches Gymnasium Gutersloh) scored a 6-0 win at the second spot.
 
The Gray Wolves were a winner by default at sixth singles and won the other five matches all in straight sets.  Moore posted a 6-2, 6-4 win at number one while Schardt was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at the second spot.  Bella Chella (Lusaka, Zambia/Pretoria H.S. for Girls) cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles while Schoppa notched a 6-0, 6-1 win at the fourth spot.  Ortiz completed the sweep with her 6-1, 6-0 win at number five.
 
Lourdes (6-6, 1-3 WHAC) is now scheduled to return to the courts on April 14 for a 2 p.m. match against Spring Arbor in Spring Arbor, Mich.
