LIVONIA, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released its 2025 women's tennis postseason honors this week, and Lourdes University was represented by three student-athletes for their achievements both on the court and in the classroom.
Olivia Schoppa earned a spot on the Champions of Character Team, which recognizes student-athletes who best exemplify the WHAC's five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
In addition to her Champions of Character selection, Schoppa was one of three Gray Wolves named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, joining Luciana Merediz and Vanessa Skouroukos. To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in academic standing and maintain at least a 3.25 GPA.
The WHAC also announced its major award winners, with Agathe Vaillant (UNOH) earning Player of the Year honors, Ekaterina Orlova (UNOH) named Newcomer of the Year, and Jeff Brown (UNOH) selected as the league's Coach of the Year. Dean Boodakian (Concordia) was named the WHAC Champion of Character Coach for 2025.
