MAUMEE, Ohio (Lourdesathletics.com) – The Lourdes University women's tennis team bounced back into the win column on Tuesday afternoon, earning a 4-3 victory over Indiana University East at Shadow Valley Tennis Club.

The Gray Wolves picked up the doubles point by winning two of the three courts. Vanessa Skouroukos and Mallory Schardt secured a dominant 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, while Winter Richburg and Luciana Merediz earned a win by default at the No. 3 spot. Despite a strong effort, the No. 1 team of Laura Ortiz and Olivia Schoppa fell 6-4.

Lourdes carried the momentum into singles play and earned victories from Mallory Schardt, Olivia Schoppa, and Winter Richburg to secure the team win. Schardt led the way with a strong performance at the No. 1 spot, earning a 7-5, 6-0 victory. Schoppa followed with a 6-2, 6-1 win on court two, while Richburg added the decisive point with a win by default at No. 6 singles.
