Playing a pair of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foes on Saturday evening, Lourdes dropped a 7-0 decision to Cornerstone and a 6-0 match against Lawrence Tech inside Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
 
In the opener against Cornerstone (7-6, 4-2 WHAC), the Golden Eagles opened by sweeping all three doubles contests.  The Gray Wolves' tandem of Ulises Barradas (Nueva Esparta, Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) and Victor Dieltiens (Altea, Spain/Sint Eduardus [Belgium]) fell 6-4 at the top of the lineup while Theo Casadei (Annecy Le Vieux, France/CNED) and Ondrej Skokan (Pardubice, Czech Republic/Gymnazium Dasicka 1083) dropped their second doubles match 6-3.  Josh Parish (Columbus, Ohio/Cristo Rey H.S.) and Alvaro Trillo-Sanchez (Madrid, Spain/Churchill County [Nev.] H.S.) fell in a tie-break 7-6 (3) at third doubles.
 
Casadei battled at second singles, rallying from a set down before falling in a third set tiebreak 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5).  Trillo-Sanchez won his opening set before falling in a match tie-break 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 at sixth singles.  Skokan lost a 6-3, 6-4 match at the top of the order while Dieltiens fell 6-1, 6-2 at number three.  Barradas was defeated 7-5, 6-4 at number four singles while Parish suffered a 6-2, 6-1 setback at the fifth spot.
 
Against Lawrence Tech (7-12, 2-4), Skokan fell 6-3, 6-4 at the top of the order while Casadei dropped his match 6-3, 6-2 at the second spot.  Dieltiens was dealt a 6-2, 6-0 defeat at three while Barradas and Parish both lost their fourth and fifth singles matches 6-1, 6-3.  At number six, Trillo-Sanchez was downed 6-4, 6-1.
 
Lourdes (11-5, 1-4) will return to the courts this week for a make-up match against Aquinas.  Match time has yet to be finalized.
