Cleo Moore (Atlanta, Ga./Riverwood International H.S.) and Mallory Schardt (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) teamed for a win at first doubles on Saturday night but Lawrence Tech prevailed in the team match 7-0 against Lourdes inside Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
 
Moore and Schardt scored a 7-5 win at the top of the lineup to improve to 6-2 as a doubles team this year.  Lawrence Tech (6-13, 3-3 WHAC) won the doubles point though with a 6-2 win over Laura Ortiz (Bogota, Columbia/Gimnasio Los Pinos) and Olivia Schoppa (Gutersloh, Germany/Stadtisches Gymnasium Gutersloh) and a 6-3 triumph over Bella Chela (Lusaka, Zambia/Pretoria H.S. for Girls) and Vanessa Skouroukos (Toledo, Ohio/Waite H.S.).
 
In singles action, Moore fell 6-2, 6-1 at number one singles while Schardt was downed 6-3, 6-4 at the second spot.  Chela suffered a 7-5, 6-4 setback at number three while Schoppa lost her fourth singles contest 6-2, 6-1.  Ortiz fell 6-4, 6-1 at number five while Winter Richburg (Toledo, Ohio/Rogers H.S.) dropped a 6-0, 6-0 match at the bottom of the order.
 
Lourdes (6-8, 1-4) will return to the courts this week for a make-up match against Aquinas.  Match time has yet to be finalized.
