Upcoming in Gray Wolves Soccer: Lourdes wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule, and its brief two-match homestand on Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves entertain Goshen. The Gray Wolves then open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Saturday evening, traveling to Cornerstone.
Head Coach Jackie Phillips: In her ninth season on the Lourdes bench,
Jackie Phillips has a 56-72-17 (.445) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves as well as overall as a head coach. She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Goshen holds a 1-0-1 all-time series edge against the Gray Wolves dating back to Sept. 21, 2021. Lourdes battled the Maple Leafs to a scoreless draw last season in Goshen, Ind. Goshen won the only previous meeting at Wildcat Stadium 1-0 in 2021. Cornerstone holds a 6-1-1 advantage against Lourdes in a series that began Oct. 7, 2015. The Gray Wolves downed the Golden Eagles for the first time ever last season, winning 2-0 at Wildcat Stadium. Cornerstone holds a 3-0-1 series edge all-time in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Taylir Lynam found the back of the net as the Gray Wolves fell 3-1 to the Pioneers in Coraopolis, Pa. On Saturday, Lourdes outshot Olivet 18-0 on the way to a 3-0 victory. Lynam,
Keira Boskovich, and
Emily Wade all scored goals for Lourdes in the win.
Scouting Goshen: The Maple Leafs enter the match following a 2-0 setback on Saturday evening at home against Siena Heights. Seja Lang and Sophia Yoder have each scored four times and added two assists for 10 points for Goshen. Amy Drew also shares the team assist lead with two. In goal, Victoria Naylor has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 0.70 goals against average and an .879 save percentage.
Scouting Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles enter the week having won three straight matches after a 4-3 triumph over Bethel (Ind.) at home on Saturday afternoon. Cornerstone hosts Kalamazoo on Tuesday evening before entertaining Lourdes. Gracie Gortmaker and Tori Woodwyk each have scored three goals this season for Cornerstone with Gortmaker leading the team with seven total points. Kaitlynn Sal has also scored a pair of goals for the Golden Eagles. In goal, Morgan Scholten has played all but 34 minutes, posting a 1.38 goals against average and a .783 save percentage.
Lynam Nets a Pair: Taylir Lynam scored goals in both matches last week, giving her a team-leading three tallies through five matches. The freshman leads the team with 11 total shot attempts, six of which have been on goal. Lynam's goal against Olivet proved to be the match-winner.
Boskovich Continues to Lead the Offense: Keira Boskovich scored her second goal of the season against Olivet, giving her a team-leading seven points this year. The sophomore has been involved in five of the Gray Wolves' 11 goals this season.
Wade Scores First Collegiate Goal: Emily Wade got on the scoreboard versus Olivet, her first collegiate tally. The freshman has taken six total shot attempts this year, putting two on net.
Moving Up the Scoring List: Kayla Dillinger continues to move up the scoring list. Dillinger has seven career goals moving her into a tie for eighth place on Lourdes' all-time list with Katie Varney (2019-2021) and
Erin Caldwell (2018-2022). Dillinger's 17 career points also move her into a tie with Jada Foster (2015-2016) for eighth place on that list. Dillinger has three career match-winning goals as well, tying her with Clare Ciarlino (2016-2017) for seventh in program history.
A Record Holder in Goal: Emmy Rodger is programs' the all-time leader with a 0.86 goals against and an .828 save percentage. She increased her school mark to 15 shutouts against Holy Cross (Ind.) and also ranks third in program history with 149 total saves.
Pencil Her in the Lineup: Gianna Salatino has started every match for the Gray Wolves this season, giving her 50 career starts wearing the terra cotta and black. She has moved into seventh place alone on the career list and Salatino now needs just one more starting assignment to match
Chloe Shaffer (2019-2022) for sixth on the all-time list. Salatino has appeared in 58 career matches, tied with Alyssa Swanson (2015-2018) for 10th on the program's all-time list..
Captains Named: Lourdes has a pair of co-captains for the 2023 season. Simona Iacabacci and
Gianna Salatino in the leadership position. Iacabacci is a first time team captain while Salatino is serving in the role for the second consecutive season.
Gray Wolves Tabbed Sixth in WHAC Preseason Poll: Lourdes was selected to finish in sixth place in the WHAC this season in the preseason poll conducted of the league's head coaches. The Gray Wolves were picked just behind fifth place Northwestern Ohio. Aquinas was chosen to win the league crown.
This and That: The Gray Wolves are outscoring opponents 11-5 this season while holding a 59-41 shot advantage ... the Gray Wolves have already recorded three shutouts this year ... 14 different players have taken at least one shot attempt.
