Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: Lourdes opens Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday evening with a trip to Ann Arbor, Mich. to battle Concordia (Mich.).  The Gray Wolves then head to the Chicagoland area for the weekend, facing eighth-ranked Indiana Wesleyan in a neutral site match on Friday before visiting both Saint Xavier and Judson on Saturday.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his 14th season on the Lourdes bench, Greg Reitz has a 228-183 (.557) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In his 16th season overall as a women's head coach, Reitz has a 248-218 (.534) career mark.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history and was named WHAC Coach of the Year in 2015.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 19-5 series edge against Concordia (Mich.) dating back to Aug. 20, 2010.  The Gray Wolves swept the season series in 2022, winning both matches in straight sets.  Lourdes is 9-3 against the Cardinals in Ann Arbor, Mich.  Indiana Wesleyan won the only previous meeting against the Gray Wolves, a 3-0 sweep in Marion, Ind. on Sept. 2, 2017.  Saint Xavier holds a 6-2 edge against Lourdes in a series that began Sept. 21, 2013.  The Cougars have won five straight meetings against the Gray Wolves following a straight sets victory in the Ebeid Rec Center last Saturday.  The series is tied 1-1 in Chicago, Ill.  Judson won the only previous meeting against Lourdes in straight sets on Aug. 28, 2021 in a neutral site match in Palos Heights, Ill.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes won the first two sets before falling 22-25, 22-25, 25-12, 25-21, 15-6 at Spring Arbor last Wednesday (Aug. 30) in the season opener.  Kylee McBride had 15 kills and 16 digs for the Gray Wolves in the lost.  On Saturday (Sept. 2), Saint Xavier rallied from two sets down to post a 21-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-10 win over Lourdes in the Gray Wolves home opener.  Ella Lewis had 13 kills while McBride added 10 kills and 19 digs.

WHAC Openers: Lourdes is 5-7 all-time in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference openers.  The Gray Wolves began league play in 2022 with a three-set win over Concordia (Mich.), snapping a three-match losing skid in league openers.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals have won three straight matches after sweeping both Trinity Baptist and Florida College last Saturday.  Kayla Peters leads the team with 64 kills while Abigail Austin has 184 assists.  McKenzie Peters has 84 digs while Jacey Powell and Madalyn Lisman have nine blocks each.

Scouting Indiana Wesleyan: The Wildcats remained unbeaten on the season with sweeps over Cornerstone and Trinity Christian on Saturday.  Indiana Wesleyan visits Mount Vernon Nazarene on Wednesday before facing Lourdes.  Eva Joldersma has 87 kills and is hitting .311 on the year while Abbigail Porter has handed out 223 assists.  Cadee Notter has 72 digs while Marta Zambetti has 20 blocks.

Quite a Debut: Arleena Willer tallied 29 digs in her collegiate debut as the Gray Wolves' libero against Spring Arbor.  She added 18 more against Saint Xavier.

Looking to Move Into Second All-Time: Katey Stakolich enters the week ranked third in program history with 1,407 career assists.  She needs just 44 more to match Hannah Thompson's total of 1,451 for second place all-time at Lourdes.

McBride in the Record Books: Kylee McBride enters the week ranked seventh in program history with 618 total kills.  She needs just five more to match Tylar Roberson's (2017-2018) sixth place total of 623 kills.  In addition, McBride is third all-time with 2,113 career attempts.  She also ranks ninth in program history playing in 254 career sets.

Hall Also on the All-Time Charts: McKenna Hall is just behind Kylee McBride in ninth place on the all-time kills list with 585.  Hall is also ninth all-time with 1,955 career attempts and ranks eighth with 596 career digs.  Her 92 blocks are 10th most in program history.
