SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The scheduled women's soccer match between the Lourdes University Gray Wolves and the visiting Concordia University Cardinals, set for Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Wildcat Stadium, has been officially canceled. Concordia University has forfeited the match, giving the Gray Wolves a 1-0 forfeited victory.
With the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference win, the Gray Wolves improve their league record to 6-2. The WHAC standings will show updated standings following the conclusion of all matches scheduled for Wednesday. Their overall record sits at 9-2-1 with a 6-0-1 home stance showing.
Match Notes:
- Head Coach Jackie Phillip (68-80-20) is 9-2-1 on the season, the best in program history, thus far.
- Additionally, the win marks the ninth of the season, topping last season's six. It mark's just the second season of nine-plus wins in the program's 10-year history after the 2022 team earned a 9-5-4 overall record.
- The win marks the sixth conference victory of the season marking just the second campaign in program history with six-plus conference wins, tied with the 2022 team.
