21 Women’s Soccer Players Honored with WHAC Postseason Awards

Defender Karlie Heilman Leads Gray Wolves with First Team All-Conference and Academic Honors

LIVONIA, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University women's soccer team saw 21 players receive notable recognition in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) postseason awards, led by defender Karlie Heilman, who was named to the First Team All-Conference for her standout contributions on the field, as well as to the Academic All-Conference team for her work in the classroom.

Joining her on the award list were freshman Payton Childers, sophomore Cecily Hughes, and senior goalkeeper Emmy Rodger, who each earned Second Team All-Conference honors. Their performances this season have been instrumental to the Gray Wolves' success, with Childers and Hughes bolstering the team's offensive and defensive efforts and Roger consistently delivering record-holding performances as a seasoned presence in goal.

Freshman Rachel Nelson earned a spot on the WHAC Newcomer Team after an impressive first year with the Gray Wolves, while senior Kendall Gregory received the Champions of Character award, recognizing her leadership, integrity, and dedication to her teammates and the program.

Academic excellence was a hallmark of the team this season, as 17 Gray Wolves earned Academic All-Conference accolades. This group includes Molly Anderson, Samarah Arendson, Kiera Boskovich, Elise Dodson, Kayden Firsdon, Kendall Gregory, Karlie Heilman, Cecily Hughes, Rylie Jones, Ellen Kolodin, Sophia Larabee, Taylir Lynam, Laura Rincon, Emmy Roger, Paige Stooksberry, Zoey Trout, Emily Wade, Chloe Wittbrodt, and Sydney Woodring, who all demonstrated strong commitment to balancing academic and athletic responsibilities.
