Final Results

Aryan Mittal (Ghaziabad, India/DPS Indirapuram) posted a singles triumph at the third spot on Saturday afternoon for Lourdes lone point of the day as Indiana Wesleyan defeated the Gray Wolves 6-1 at the Sutter Tennis Center in Marion, Ind.
 
Mittal was a 6-2, 6-2 winner to improve to 10-7 on the season in singles action.
 
"Aryan is determined to maximize his experience this year, and he continues to show great character and leadership," head coach Epifani Jones said afterwards.
 
Indiana Wesleyan (12-10) won the other five singles contests in straight sets.  The Gray Wolves' Victor Dieltiens (Altea, Spain/Sint Eduardus [Belgium]) dropped a 6-1, 6-0 match at the top of the lineup while Joshua Parish (Columbus, Ohio/Cristo Rey H.S.) retired from third singles after dropping the opening set 6-3.  Alvaro Trillo-Sanchez (Madrid, Spain/Churchill County [Nev.] H.S.) lost 6-0, 6-2 at number four while Luis Guzman (Santo Domingo, D.R./Cranston East [R.I.] H.S.) fell 6-1, 6-1 at the fifth spot.  Jaden Coley (Columbus, Ohio/Reynoldsburg H.S.) rounded out the lineup with a 6-3, 6-1 defeat.
 
In singles action, Dieltiens and Parish teamed for a 6-1 setback at number one while Guzman and Coley fell by the same score at the second spot.  Trillo-Sanchez and Mittal also lost a 6-1 decision at third doubles.
 
Lourdes (5-9) will close out the regular season next Saturday afternoon facing Cornerstone in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action.  Play begins at 1 p.m. at Sparrow Michigan Athletic Club in East Lansing, Mich.
