Box Score SYLVANIA, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) -- Four players contributed double-double performances as the women's volleyball team suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 setback Friday night, in a five-set non-conference thriller against Saint Xavier University inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreational Center on the campus of Lourdes University.
The first set was to the visiting Cougars advantage, who took the 1-0 lead with a 25-18 score, before the Gray Wolves came back in the second and third sets to hold the 2-1 set advantage with equal 25-21 scores.
The Cougars, who are undefeated in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, forced a fifth set when they won the fourth with a 25-23 set victory, before ultimately taking the overall match after a 15-12 fifth-set performance.
The Gray Wolves were led by junior Jolie Sobb and senior Maddie White, once more, who both picked up yet another double-double in the match. White's double-double, her fourth of the season, showcased a team-leading 12 kills and 18 digs. Sobb grabbed her fifth season double-double with 11 kills and 22 digs.
Leading in assists was senior Katey Stakolich, who produced her third season double-double with 19 helpers and 10 digs. Rounding out the double-doubles club was sophomore Arleena Willer who posted her first of the season with 13 assists and a team-best 26 digs.
Redshirt junior Lindsey Pumford had an impressive blocking day, assisting on a team-best six and earning the sole block solo for the Gray Wolves.

The team's 60 collective kills were the just the third 60-plus kill match for the Gray Wolves in the 2024 campaign.
