ADRIAN, Mich. (LourdesAthletics.com) -- The Lourdes University women's volleyball team opened the 2024 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference season on the road at Siena Heights University Wednesday, Sept. 4, where the Gray Woves (2-3, 0-1 WHAC) fell in three straight sets to the Saints (6-2,1-0 WHAC) in Adrian, Mich.
The first set saw Lourdes fall 25-16, before dropping the second set 25-19, and the third 25-21.
Key contributors in tonight's match include junior
Jolie Sobb who led with six kills on 30 attacks with only two errors. The veteran collected a service ace along with eight digs and a block assist to contribute a total of 7.5 points to the teams performance.

Rania Pavlidi's for the team-lead, who recorded a career-high 19 assists in the match to top her previous personal best of 15 in which she collected in her career debut, the five-set thriller in favor of Clarke University, Aug. 30. It marked the third match in which the rookie has charted double-digit helpers.

Lindsey Pumford who
earned three kills on seven swings for a .413 hitting percentage. Rookie
Madison Goforth tied for the team lead with two service aces.
As a team, Lourdes produced 24 kills on 107 swings, good for a .065 hitting percentage.
UP NEXT
The Gray Wolves will return to non-conference tournament action Friday-Saturday, Sept. 6-7, as Lourdes takes part in the Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament hosted by Indiana Tech University.
