SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Lourdes University volleyball battled on the road Friday evening but fell in three sets to Lawrence Tech (25-18, 25-8, 25-17) inside the Don Ridler Fieldhouse.
Senior
Rachel Allison (Toledo, Ohio / Central Catholic HS) led the Gray Wolves with seven kills and added two service aces and five digs. Freshman
Johanna Tester (LaPorte, Ind. / LaPorte HS) contributed four kills, while
Teliya Cole (Toledo, Ohio / Whitmer HS) added two kills and hit .500 on the night.
Senior
Emma Coffey (Mason, Ohio / Bishop Fenwick HS) anchored the Lourdes defense with 16 digs, and sophomore
Zoe Schuele (Ottawa Lake, Mich. / Whiteford HS) tallied six assists and five digs. Freshman
Rania Pavlidi (Athens, Greece / 1st Lykeio Geraka) handed out seven assists and added two kills, while
Mia Karl (Sylvania, Ohio / Southview HS) posted a kill and a block assist.
As a team, Lourdes finished with 19 kills and 38 digs, while Lawrence Tech hit .242 with 38 kills and 12 total team blocks. The Blue Devils took control early in each set behind strong blocking and consistent serving, though the Gray Wolves kept pace through extended rallies in sets one and three.
With the result, Lourdes moves to 6-15 overall and 2-12 in WHAC play.
