COLUMBUS, Ohio (LourdesAthletics.com) — Lourdes University women's soccer players Emmy Rodger and Karlie Heilman have been named to the 2024 Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) NAIA Academic All-Ohio Team, honoring their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Rodger, a senior goalkeeper, maintains a 3.99 GPA as a psychology major. On the field, she appeared in 17 matches during the 2024 season, logging 1,530 minutes and recording 57 saves. Rodger achieved 11 wins, all shutouts, underscoring her pivotal role in the team's defense.
Heilman, a graduate student defender with a 3.70 GPA in psychology, earns this honor for the second consecutive year. In the 2024 season, she appeared in 15 matches, starting 11, and contributed three assists. Heilman's consistent performance fortified the Gray Wolves' back line throughout the season.
The OCSA NAIA Academic All-Ohio Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically, highlighting their dedication and hard work in balancing rigorous academic pursuits with competitive sports.
