Box Score Lourdes University volleyball closed its weekend with a three-set defeat at Saint Xavier (25-15, 25-20, 25-18) on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Rachel Allison and senior Jolie Sobb each tallied nine kills to lead the Lourdes offense. Freshman Johanna Tester added seven kills and two blocks.

Setter Zoe Schuele distributed 21 assists while libero Emma Coffey collected 12 digs in the back row. Sophomore Mia Karl chipped in four kills and a pair of blocks, while senior Arleena Willer had nine digs.

Despite flashes of offensive rhythm, the Gray Wolves could not overcome the Cougars' efficient attack and serving pressure.

With the loss, Lourdes moves to 5-3 overall and will continue WHAC play on the road Sept. 17 at Madonna.
