Â
"Alvaro had a disappointing fall and has been 100% about his business at practice," head coach
Epifani Jones said afterwards. "His win was well-deserved.  UNOH beat us last year in under an hour so this match fully represented a measure of our growth."
Â
Theo Casadei (Annecy Le Vieux, France/CNED) and
Victor Dieltiens (Altea, Spain/Sint Eduardus [Belgium]) both battled in their matches. Casadei fell 6-3, 7-5 at the second spot in the lineup while Dieltiens won the opening set at third singles before falling 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Â
"Theo and Victor competed very well, and the overall team performance is exactly where I expected it to be at this point in the season," Jones added.
Â
Ondrej Skokan (Pardubice, Czech Republic/Gymnazium Dasicka 1083) dropped a 6-2, 6-1 match at the top of the lineup while
Ulises Barradas (Nueva Esparta, Venezuela/UE Colegio Madre Guadalupe) fell 6-3, 6-2 at number four. At fifth singles,

Josh Parish (Columbus, Ohio/Cristo Rey H.S.) dropped a 6-2 match in the middle of the order.
Â
"We were right on the edge of the doubles point, so it was a tough result," Jones said. "We are closing the gap hard and fast with great options for partnerships."
